Krater is a soundtrack to a sci-fi movie that was never made. In the early nineties I came across a set of drawings and illustrations at a flea market in my hometown Karlstad in Sweden. The artwork, that was dated 1982, depicted scenes set in Karlstad but in a post apocalyptic state, apparently in an imagined future. They seemed to be preproduction material for a planned movie but although extensive research has been made, no information of such a movie or a possible artist has been found.
With the artwork as a starting point, I started making an album based on the idea how the soundtrack of this movie could have sounded, had the movie indeed been made in 1982.
